Web Development from a non Webber
So, I've re-done the website with CoffeeCup's HTML Editor - much more versatile than the Visual Site Designer. It allows me to stare in awe at the HTML code that is created with the WYSIWYG part of the editor (What You See Is What You Get - pronounced wizzywig I believe - see, I am a geek!). It also allows me to correct some problems I saw on the site when I uploaded it. The main one was - no pictures! I won't bore you with the details, but through the help of web master Jess Stokes and the on line forums, I figured out how to fix it.
I also was able to put in Google Analytics, a powerful free (repeat, free) add on from Google that gives a lot of reports on who visits your website and how they use it. Pretty cool stuff. Hopefully, I'll have some information from it and not just a bunch of zeros.
So I'm learning HTML code (at a very basic level). Who thought starting a gym would lead to this?
To take a gander at the new and improved website, visit the Athletic Nation of the Triangle's website.
I'm off to Golf Galaxy for a marketing/networking opportunity for our golf program. It should be fun, even if we don't get customers!
